Ruins, reborn:
the moinhos.
Photographs from the building site, which I supported for my client. Videos on request.
Guided from permit to building site.
In Vila Pouca de Aguiar, in the heart of Trás-os-Montes, an ensemble of old stone mills is becoming an extraordinary retreat. I supported this project for a German-speaking client, from the idea to the building site.
My job was to steer things behind the scenes: I managed and coordinated the permitting process together with the architects, then accompanied the regular on-site meetings with the construction firms and the client, translating, mediating and making sure both sides understood each other.
That is exactly my contribution: I don't build myself: I make sure a demanding project in a foreign country, language and bureaucracy runs smoothly. German structure meets Portuguese craft.
